Before dentistry, Dr. Francis worked for four years in an integrative medical practice alongside medical doctors, chiropractors, acupuncturists, and massage therapists. There, he saw firsthand the profound impact a balanced combination of conventional and integrative wellness can have on a patient’s life and well-being. He believes deeply that, given the right building blocks, the body has the ability to heal itself.
When not practicing dentistry, Dr. Francis can be found spending time with this lovely wife Christy and their five children, playing the guitar (find him on YouTube!), or riding his bike. Ask him about the time he rode his bike from Austin to Anchorage. The reason might surprise you!
Ziem
Ziem was born and raised in Vietnam. She lives a very holistic lifestyle. In 1995, she moved to the United States. She joined the US Army for six years where she received her training as a hygienist. She served in the US military for 2 years as a hygienist. In 2007, she completed her Bachelors of Science degree in Dental Hygiene from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston.
In 2008, she began working for our practice with Dr. Glaros. She has a belief that the dental office should not be a place of fear. She was attracted to this dental practice because the philosophy of the practice is based on a holistic approach, which resonates with her personal lifestyle. She tries to help as much as possible and loves providing high-quality care to our patients. Her focus is on sharing and coaching our patients on their oral health journey. The best part of her day is seeing patients leave our office feeling confident and happier with their smile. In her spare time, she enjoys helping other people who are in need. She also has a passion for gardening.
Salina
Salina has been a dental assistant since 2014. She has been with our practice since 2018. She is from California, but has been in Houston since 2011 and loves it here. She came to Houston with her boyfriend, AJ, who is in the Radiology field. They love pets and have two rescue dogs, Wally and Chloe. They are the sweetest dogs and tend to be quite clingy! She is a big believer that things happen for a reason and that God has placed her in this practice to not only learn about teeth, but to also pay more attention to her mental health and whole body health. Salina believes that in order to take care of others, one needs to take care of themselves as well. Since working at the practice, she has made some health changes and is still improving to be the best version of herself.
